"This album rates one star for its atrocious sound quality. Keely's stunning voice gets lost in the utterly poor digital mastering. The album, a 1960s selection of pop music, is rather tepid material. Keely Smith sashays through each song with her stunning voice. Not recommended."
Someone else should reissue these...

"It's always good to have Keely on CD. I like her Dot LP's almost as much as her Capitol LP's. It's nice to have the Dot albums on CD, but I have to say that the sound is pretty awful. "Because Your Mine" doesn't sound as bad as my "Swing, You Lovers" CD, but it can't compare with the sound on the reissues of her Capitol material. Someone like Collector's Choice or Collectables should really put out US reissues of these great recordings."
Get lost in Keely's sweet & swingin' voice...

"Miss Keely Smith sings or should I say swings some standards and some run of the mill tunes, however Miss Smith uplifts all of these tunes, this CD re-issues the original Dot LP. Recommeded if you like Ella Fitzgerald, you'll like the less comprehensive, but still wonderful Keely Smith."
There is nothing wrong with the sound quality of this CD

"This Cd re-issue of Keely Smith's 1959 Because Your Mine isn't as bad as Be My Love from the 60's, but it isn't nearly as good as her jazzier sessions with Billy May and Nelson Riddle. The music is sometimes swinging and crosses into middle of the road pop, however I would'nt say it was bad. Keely's voice is beautiful, and turns the middle of the road pop tunes into standards, and the muzaky orchestra is bearable, and not dated sounding. If you're alrady a Keely Smith fan buy it, if you're new try Cherokeely Swings with Billy May's arrangements, and try her recordings with Nelson Riddle too."
