"This is the third in a series of songs sung by June Christy with piano accompaniment from Johnny Guarnieri during a radio series from the late 1940s. Like the two earlier volumes, this CD chronicles her conversion from lead singer for Stan Kenton to a topflight jazz soloist of the 1950s and '60s. The 28 cuts show the variety of her singing talent, and the backup musicians are outstanding. Thanks to Jasmine for issuing this series on CD. Buy this one now, and I'll bet you order the other two CDs within a month."
