"Judy Garland was one of America's most beloved entertainers. She can sing, dance, and act but singing was where she really ruled. I love her rendition of Moon River which sends shivers down your spin. There are other hits here like Come Rain or Shine, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart, Hey Look Me Over, A palace medley that includes Shine on Harvest MOon, Some of these Days, My Man and I Don't care in them, Liza (All the Clouds Roll Away)which is probably a tribute to her daughter, After You've Gone, I Will Come Back, and Last Night When We WEre Young. I love Judy Garland because she breathes life into the lyrics as the composers, lyricists, librettists, and audiences would like to hear. She sings of pain, agony, love, hope, faith, etc. Judy sings with her heart on her sleeve. Personally, her life was tragic and cut short but her legacy still lives on with her devout fans which include Presidents, female impersonators, gay community, her family, etc. Judy once replied about her large gay following with "I sing for the people" and that's what Judy did and we have her recordings to remember her by."
