"One of the landmarks albums from Jose Feliciano's prolific recorded output from the 1970s. It makes me happy to see that this and other albums from this time where he was at the height of his fame are finally being relased on CD. The album is worth your time and money without a doubt, but there are three tracks that makes it a noteworthy recording: "No Jive" a rock n' roll instrumental masterfully executed on electric guitar by Feliciano. "Affirmation" another instrumental that shines for its simple brilliance and beautiful melody. This track was also recorded by George Benson for his epic album "Breezin" and had a Top 40 hit with it. Jose's original version appears here for the first time on CD and is a marvel to listen to, and his guitar virtuosity which needless to say is beyond amazing. The other track on the album that didn't chart unfortuantely (I don't know why) since I feel is one of best tracks on the album is "Must Be The Breeze" in which Feliciano's voice is so smooth and gentle it is incredibly relaxing and somewhat melancholic which I love. A priceless "thank you" to Wounded Bird Records, an independent label that has taken the initiative and pride to release some of Jose's timeless albums from his golden area of the 70s such as this one. I will review other great albums from this period by this legendary vocalist and guitarist as they are finally being released. It has taken many years of pleading with with the various record companies Felicano has recorded for but it seems that Wounded Bird, has been given the green light to release the legandary albums from this master performer. Great album...highly recommended. If you love Jose in the 70s you will LOVE "Just Wanna Rock n' Roll" and you should make it a part of your music library. Albums like this and artists like Jose Feliciano belong in a category all to themselves. There are no longer a part of our time unfortunanely. To all the Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Justin Bearbin of the world, they can ALL learn from a master teacher/performer like Felicano. This is how its done kids...listen and learn from the great Jose Feliciano."
