"The only frustratiing thing about this CD is that half of the albums the cuts are from are tragically out of print. Jonathan is perhaps the only working artist that may have more records out of print than in. However this is the place to start if you want to know about Jonathan Richman. Jonathan sings about the "Roller Coaster by the sea" that knocked him out of his depression. Well this collection of songs is the roller coaster that knocks ME out of my head. Joy is spilling out in all directions on this one and everybody I play it for seems to loathe it. Ah well, that's more Modern Lover's records for me to win on E-bay."
IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY ONE. THIS IS IT.

"If you've just discovered Jonathan Richman and want a good sampling of what he and The Modern Lovers are all about, then this is the CD for you. You can't go wrong because if "Road Runner" is too hard core for you there is always the "Ice Cream Man." If you've seen or heard Jonathan before you know what a variety of moods and tempos he can produce. Here is a collection that truely has something for everyone. If you can't find at least 13 songs on this CD that you don't absolutly love then you aint alive. Don't judge the quality by the Real Audio Demos because Real Audio aint real audio, if you know what I mean. Check out some demos in mpeg for a better feel. Like I said if you buy this CD you can't go wrong."
