Jack Stafford has spent 27 years studying the behaviour of women in a long and dangerous quest to understand them. He failed. But from the ashes of every disaster can rise a phoenix and in this case it?s ?Exes?, an album of the purest bittersweet pop. There?s the agony of life as a vibrator. The torment of living with a girl. The bane of their ex-boyfriends. 13 tales of doom and gloom. Musically, Exes has been described as Electrock: an 80s-influenced infusion, incorporating heavily processed guitars with electronic drums, synths and samples. On this album Jack Stafford worked with first-time producers Marc Driessen and Paul Willemsen, both formerly of the Dutch band Supersub, in their home studios.
