The Work of Art

"This is a very fine piece of remastering work. There are no clicks and pops and hissing like other remaster recordings. Each track maintains its very own originality. This CD sounds more dynamic than the vinyl album. The sound of each percussion piece is crisp and clear. This CD can be used absolutely as a caliber for stereo equipment. I salute to the engineer who remastered this CD 50 years after its debut. I would certainly recommend this CD to anyone who likes good sound and good music."
Outstanding 1962 Release

"One of the best instrumental releases of 1962, these two albums on the Phase Four label are classics for anyone who enjoys easy listening music from that era. Sound is clear, but doesn't have the "rerelease and remastered" sound - it could be punchier. I first heard these tracks on a reel-to-reel player, and the sound there was awesome. The CD is good, but not as good as those old reel-to-reels.
