"I was given this CD by a friend who was going to use it as a coaster. In retrospect I should have let her. This CD has the production value of an analog 4-track, garage band studio which is only rivalled by its amateur, sophomoric content and it's shameful that it is being sold for a dollar, much less eighteen.
Many of the songs are theater standards which, unless you can perform them better (or at least differently)than the singers who made them famous, you probably shouldn't be recording them at all. Saxon's vocal technique is inconsistent at best and she is often off pitch or swooping through notes which are clearly out of her range.
This CD is sadly nothing more than the vanity project of a failed vocalist who seems to have no desire to make anything fresh or worthy of a second listen which, if you're interested, isn't any better than the first."
