(5 out of 5 stars)

"Every now and then theres is one of those movies that moves you. I first saw Il Postino in my English class during my high school years and thought it was good, but since I was a fool back then I thought nothing more. A few months ago I stumbled upon Il Postino at my local movie rental store and decided to give it another try. I was truly touched the second, third and fourth time I watched the film and I realized it was because of two things: one, the tremendous acting ability of the actors who partook in the making of this film and two, because of the film's beautifully captivating score. The title track is really, in my opinion one of the most beautifully composed songs of all time, for me there is no equal for this song. Whenever I hear it I must stop whatever I am doing and just take it in for all its glory, beauty and emotion. The notes come away clean and pierce my heart as they vibrate from my speaker. The other songs are also superb in every way, complementing the previous tracks and the actual scenes on screen with utmost accuracy. The ending track is also something to behold in awe. Although it has lyrics they are moving as well, with there meaning coming through to the listener even if he or she cannot understand Italian, one knows the passion with how they are sung. I implore you to buy this album for the first track alone, you will not be disappointed with perfection.
