Damn, I miss this band...

"Some of the best american 2 Tone/roots influnced ska to ever come out. Highly recommended for fans of The Selecter!

I have seen their first live show, the last one, and most of them in between. I was at the release party for this CD, so maybe you'd think I would rate this high... but while these tracks are obviously better than nothing, they come nowhere near the pure awesomeness of seeing them play live. I loved Shahanna's between-song banter, which was a bittersweet shot of badly needed love and politics.

The band tended to play more vigorously than they did for these studio tracks, and the sound is recorded very low, so it doesn't mix well with other music in a mix since you have to adjust the volume just to properly hear it."
