CD ReviewsA stress tonic Jim | Richmond, VA United States | 01/11/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a lovely album for anyone who likes simple and smooth voices and light jazz/bossa nova backgrounds (think Joa Gilberto and Luis Bonfa, but French). The songs are very melodic with a definate air of melancholy. If you like this album see "Chansons de Amour" which is similar and as good. If you have fallen in love with Salvador be careful, however, because many of his albums repeat songs and a couple of his albums from the 60's and 70's are full of covers of stupid and menacing novelty songs, and the album that is part of a jazz series, "Salvador Sings the Blues", or similar, is he singing very jazzy lounge stuff with a group, like Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross." Just think of a hot balmy night on the beach in Cannes, Monte Carlo or Saint Tropez and we think you'll get the idea. Magnificent and it is moments like these that make our lives perfect!"
