"From the very first note and phrase of Mozart's "Laudate Dominum" VESPERAE SOLENNES K.339 the listener knows one is in the presence of one of those VERY SPECIAL GOD GIVEN VOCAL TALENTS aligned with a wonderful artistic temperament. The Opening track lets one know that they are in for one of those special transcendental moments that only a great piece of music by a great composer interpreted by a great artist can provide. Annick Massis does this over and over again in this magnificent recording of sacred pieces by Haydn and Mozart. Her voice is a wonderfully beautiful and free instrument. She makes everything I have heard her sing either live or in the studio sound totally effortless. Her Mozart EXULTATE JUBILATE K.165 is right up there with all the great classic recordings; and I do mean Erna Berger, Arlene Auger, Sylvia McNair, Lucia Popp and yes Anna Moffo and even just the "alleluia" with Leontyne Price. The Voice is knock-out dead lovely, rich, round, and free. I'm lucky enough to have seen her TRAVIATA and to own almost everyone of her CDS and DVDS.
DON'T MISS THIS ARTIST OR THIS WONDERFUL RECORDING;IT'S A TRUE CLASSIC!!!"
