CD Reviews
Couldn't agree less

"I loved this CD. "Lemon Road" and "Perkiomon" are destined to be classics, on par with later works "Mano a Mano" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". There are certainly some weak parts, but the Oates-written tracks shine above all else. This CD reflects the heyday of the duo, before the media foolishly ignored the real talent and tranformed them into "Daryl Hall and His Little Buddy Oates"."

"I agree with the other Oates fan, that the Hall-friendly media focused too much on the non-Oates work. Go listen to "Mano-o-Mano" and you will see what I mean. I thought that this album was incredibly good and the nay-sayers should take a second listen to "Lemon Road" and "Deep River Blues." Keep rockin' John and that other guy too."
This CD is very good

"Regarding why some people love and some people hate this CD, I think it has to do with confusing this CD with the one released by Classic World ("Hall & Oates", ASIN: B00000J27G), which has the same songs, but poor audio. THAT CD is awful. Get this one instead."
What a Dud

"First of all, why doesn't Amazon warn its customers that these "2000 releases" are actually just reissues of mostly substandard material. This is really an awful CD. It's hard to believe Hall and Oates would even let any record label release this garbage. It sounds like it was recorded in a garage and the crew was intoxicated! Not one of the songs bears a second listen. What a major disappointment. Hall and Oates certainly rose above this inane material; why in the world did they want their fans to hear this stuff? Yuck!"
