A wonderful mix of Italian and international pop styles

"Like all of Giorgia's work, this is a beautiful album that is all the more enjoyable to an international audience because she sings clearly and you can "get the idea" with even a relatively lilmited knowledge of Italian. My personal favorite is "Father" which is so evocative of the father-daughter (OK, padre-figlia) relationship that it must be a true story. Other hits include "E Poi" ("And then"), "Alba" ("Dawn"), and the offbeat and witty "M'hanno Bocciato"(about what it feels like for an Italian to flunk their matriculation exam). The influence of American soul music is strong throughout, but not so much as to defeat the originality and verve. A good investment."
