Fabulous Fran Warren at her peak!

"Band vocalist Fran Warren was a very busy gal in the 1950s. Despite being shuttled back and forth between competing record labels RCA and MGM, she managed to turn out a brilliant selection of hit singles, toured the country in the road company of "The Pajama Game", and was one of the most in-demand vocal doubles for, shall we say, the more musically-challenged Hollywood actresses.
The first twelve tracks of this outstanding CD form the complete set of Warren's beloved "Hey There! Here's Fran Warren" album, recorded in 1957. Marketed to help promote her appearance in the "Pajama Game" tour, Warren lays down her delightful rendition of "Hey There" from the show, in addition to an interesting mix of showtune standards ("Bewitched", "Come Rain or Come Shine") and reliable pop selections ("Don't Blame Me", "Lucky New People in Love", "Imagination").
Among the more offbeat bonus tracks is "My Love and My Mule" (taken from the soundtrack of MGM's "Mr. Imperium", where she provided the singing voice for Lana Turner). "A Corset Can Do a Lot for a Lady" is a saucy little number you'd almost suspect Jane Russell of doing; other great tracks include "Heavenly Father", "My Guy", "Treasure of Love", and "Shame".
