"These are NOT the Four Aces that everyone knows!! They are a totally different group, but no attempt has been made to clarify this, hence Four Aces fans might buy this disc in error. Amazon must clearly indicate this in the interests of customer care! It is especially important where there is more than one singer or group with the same name."
An extremely timely release

"It is unfortunate that the man who bought this CD with the idea that it was the Al Alberts group didn't look at the group photo on site. Perhaps it wasn't avail able at that time. There have been several Four Aces groups in the past, but this one is long overdue for recognition. The fact that some songs were from transcriptions should indicate that they had a following somewhere. They were a very versatile, talented group from theearly "true" R&B days, and hats off to the producer for bringing material of this type to the collector segment who appreciate such "gems!""
FOUR ACES 1946-55

"THIS IS TO THE SO-CALLED REVIEWER MJ ELLIS ON HIS 'BE AWARE' REVIEW OF THE TWO DIFFERENT 'FOUR ACES' VOCAL GROUPS, AND THE CONFUSION THIS MIGHT CAUSE FANS OF THE 'WHITE' FOUR ACES GROUP. FIRST OFF, ANY REAL FAN OF THE WHITE 'FOUR ACES' SHOULD KNOW THEIR OFFICIAL RECORDING CAREER STARTED IN SEPTEMBER 1951, WITH THE CHART HIT 'SIN'. THE TITLE ON THE R&B 'FOUR ACES' SAYS QUITE CLEARLY 1946-1955, THEIR CAREER STARTED SIX YEARS EARLIER, AND A SIMPLE LOOK AT THE SONG LIST ON THE SOLE 'FOUR ACES' R&B GROUP, SHOULD INDICATE TO AN EVEN MODEST OR NOVICE FAN OF THE WHITE 'FOUR ACES' THE DIFFERENCE IN BOTH SONG MATERIAL AND SKIN PIGMENTATION."
