Complete Rip off !!

"Stay far away from this set unless you want to throw away the CD's and use the jewel cases which is what I am going to do. These film themes are played by 'The Global Stage Orchestra' which are synthesizers which sound dreadful. Don't get sucked in to buy this as I did. I listened for 5 minutes then chucked the whole thing in the trash. Save your money and buy a real soundtrack!"
With all due respect: DON'T BUY THIS ITEM !!!!

"I can't but warn you insistently to spend your money on this item. It's definitely a contender for the worst product ever. In fact, these CDs do NOT contain any of the original scores. Each and every piece has been re-recorded by an obscure orchestra from Portugal. But I doubt this, because everything sounds like it was strummed on an ancient Casio - purely terrible! But it's not the incredibly subterranean sound quality, what's even worse is what they did with the arrangements. I must admit that I wasn't even able to recognise the theme from the Maltese Falcon when I played it the third time. I've no idea who is to be held responsible for this edition - no one is named in fact -, but he surely deserves some serious punishment. Must I mention that there are no booklets either? This release has been produced in a way that most bootlegs look like deluxe editions.

Please, do NOT think that you can do yourself or anyone else a favor by acquiring this product. As a big fan of anything related to Film Noir, I did buy it - in Germany they sell the set for less than 10$ on Amazon! - and I underwent the most frustrating, disappointing and annoying moments I ever had. And this is to be taken literally. If you desire to delve into these classic movie scores, I can highly recommend the fantastic compilation "Film Noir" (released by Milan records) as well as "Legendary Film Noir" (released by Soundtrack Factory) to you. Both contain original recordings only and work as very insightful starting points to discover this genre.

PS: My rating is only due to the fact that you have to leave at least a rating of one star. A minus 5 would have been much more appropriate indeed."
Grossly mislabelled item

"This item is NOT worth buying. The cover suggests that the music is performed by an orchestra. In truth, EVERY single piece of music is performed on 1 (maybe 2) synthesizers. Any true fan of film music will be VERY disappointed. Please avoid this item at all costs."
