"There are only two disappointing aspects of these recordings, and that is that Kay Starr actually only sings the first three songs, and that the quality is less than perfect. However, for fans of Kay Starr, Error Garner, or of vintage jazz music, this is a must. The Kay Starr songs are live (which contributes to the quality of the recordings), but they are all great songs, and well worth listening to over and over again despite any faults in the original recordings. Songs four through seven are Error Garner songs, and the same can be said about them. Less than perfect quality, but well worth the time for fans of classic jazz. The last five songs are actually by the Gerald Wiggins Trio. I have the original Singin' Kay Starr / Swingin' Error Garner album from the 1950s, and these last five songs are naturally not a part of it. However, the songs and the quality of the recordings are first rate. The price of this CD is probably too rich for your average jazz fan, but as mentioned earlier, it's a must for true jazz enthusiast."
