"It is true that in Eric's autobiography he states that "Sun Secrets" was released without his permission."Stop" he doesn't even mention. Nevertheless these 2 albums are excellent! "Stop" was recorded in 1971 and has a loose, jazzier approach. "Sun Secrets" recorded in 1974 is a great rock album featuring 3 Animal numbers.Guitarist Aalon Butler is superb. I understand Burdon's objection to these albums e.g. no money etc. but also his 1973 album "Mirage" hasn't been "officialy" released but it's a classic. We are the ones who profit from these releases."
You cannot do without Sun Secrets

"I agree that it's a shame that Burdon could not control the release of this material, and an even bigger shame if he is not getting royalties for them, but if you like Eric Burdon, you cannot do without Sun Secrets. The guitarist is great here at amping up some Burdon classics and Burdon himself is wonderful. Don't cut off your nose to spite some record company's face."
Incomplete album.....missing track

"I bought this CD comp for one track on the Stop album that I hadn't heard since my vinyl copy wore out long ago. The track is "Be mine". It's not on this CD. I didn't check the track listing when I bought the CD because it never occurred to me that they would simply omit this track....big disappointment.....the rest of the tracks are good because they're Eric Burdon recordings, but the omission of this critical 8 minute song is really cheesy..."
