Engel Lund's Book of Folk Songs is a unique published collection of 49 folk songs from 14 countries, performed by young singers in their native languages and assembled by Danish soprano Engel Lund and her accompanist Ferdinand Rauter. These two extraordinary artists were passionate about bringing people closer through the power of music, and in pursuit of this aim gave hundreds of performances of these songs throughout Europe and the United States in the 1930s and '40s.
