"This 18 song collection is a good buy but not a good represention of her career, for that I would turn to Performence, Encore or her latest On Reflection. This album has most (only two are missing) of the tracks from Love Can Do That (Well Almost, Grow Young, After The Best, Oxygen ect.) and her album of standards Romance and The Stage (As Time Goes By, Song of a Summer Night, Smoke Gets in your Eyes ect). New recordings of From a Distance and True Colours and live versions of Bohemian Rhapsody (sounds great!) and One Night In Bangkok, another killer track. These are taken from the same concert as "Performence" but are not included on that cd. It seems that all that has come out of Paige this last 6 years are collections or live recordings."
A great album from the divine Elaine

"Elaine Paige is regarded as the 'First Lady of British Musical Theatre' and no wonder. Her career has encompassed many of the greatest musicals. She rose to fame as Grizabella in the original cast of CATS, later on solidifying her position as a megastar in EVITA, playing the tragic Eva Peron. CHESS followed, which led to her chart-topping duet with Barbara Dickson in "I Know Him So Well", the score's singular hit.Later on, Paige delighted audiences with her beguiling turn as Reno Sweeney in the 1989 revival of ANYTHING GOES, before focusing her attention on her career as a recording and concert artist. In 1995, she took on the role of Norma Desmond in SUNSET BOULEVARD, later on reprising the role on Broadway. Her portrayal of the troubled silent-movie actress is considered to be definitive. In 1999, she returned to the West End, playing Anna in the lavish revival of THE KING AND I. Around the same time, she managed to reprise her Grizabella for the direct-to-video production of CATS which became a bestseller. On this delightful album are 18 superb tracks. Collected together, they show how versatile Elaine Paige is as a performer. She's equally at home singing pop-style and soulful ballads ("He's Out of My Life", "Heart Don't Change My Mind") as she is with the classic standards of yesteryear ("Mad About the Boy", "I Only Have Eyes For You", "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes").This excellent album is a true testament to the formidable talents of the divine Elaine Paige. Highly-recommended!"
