If you like jazz singers, and even if you're not sure, you don't want to miss this one. Eden Atwood's "Nearness" with Marian McPartland is the most honest and beautiful rendition you will ever hear, anywhere. This ballad alone is worth ordering the CD. And there's a lot more to this recording than "Nearness". The tunes "It Never Entered My Mind" and "Music that Makes Me Dance" have such an authentic, beautiful feeling, and the up tempo tunes "Love in Vain" and "Everything I've Got" with Chris Potter swing hard and feel great. Check this album out...you'll be delighted."
