Still Haymes magic

"Recorded in intimate session with Loonis McGlohan trio (who also did arrangements) in 1978, this album still shows a great deal of magic in DH. True, his voice has some mileage & a little 'weathered' on the edges, but a good song choice mostly and very nice to hear him in this sort of setting. Very sympathetic and nice 'lightfingered' structure provided by the trio too. I think the somewhat 'simpler' approach is
handled well. Not a substitute for his '40's/early '50's work at all; but Dick still had it here-- & a nice complement to the earlier work."
