"Born in Alexandria and raised in Athens, Demis Roussos is a legend in dealing with European Pop. He has a voice that is as amazing and deep as that of another vocalist who like Demis was always a Big Boy who had troubles with thier size. That man is Meat Loaf Adlay, and both Demis and Meat Loaf sing to a setting of music that is deep and vast.
Demis was the Bassist and Vocalist of Aphrodite's Child, which was a Progressive Rock band that included Vangalis on Keyboards and Piano as well as Organ.
This collection has Hits by Aphrodite's Child and Demis as a Solo Artist, with Demis as a Solo Artist singing in English and French as well as German in this Collection, while English was the premier language of Aphrodite's Child's songs, even though some were in French and Castillano, but not in this collection.
The songs are just remarkable, and the voice of Demis is amazing and romantic, with my favorate songs being Loin Des Yeux, Loin Du Coueur and Lost In Love as well as We Shall Dance and My Reason, while dealing with his solo songs, and in dealing with Aphrodite's Child amd thier songs on this collection, my favorates are It's Five OClock and I Want To Live as well as Rain and Tears.
I recomend this collection as well as his Grandes Exitos album that is avalable, but not on Amazon. That Collection has his biggest hits both in English and Castillano as well as one song in French, which were all huge Hits for this mighty Giant, including four hits for Aphrodite's Child in English, that were hits for the band troughout Europe. Demis Roussos En Español is the closest to Grandes Exitos, for all of the same songs in Castillano that are on Grandes Exitos are on En Español."
Songs with much meaning

"When I was stationed in Italy back in the early 1970's, I first heard of Demis and the song "Forever and Ever". I purchased his album on cassette tape, but recently wanted to have the CD to play. His music is so European and the words are written for the imagination to vision."
Yes, Disc 2 has defect on tracks 17, 18, 19.

"Ahhh, Demis Roussos and Aphrodite's Child from Greece. His voice and songs bring back a lot of good
memories of my teenage years.
Let's see about this 2 CD set. How good it is. First of all, mine does not come with a booklet inside
its jewel case, and then Disc 2 have some scratches on its playing surface. I bought mine brand new and
factory sealed. I asked for a replacement copy, but the second copy also suffered the same problems:
no booklet inside the jewel case, and Disc 2 have scratches on the same location. Perhaps, the whole
batch have the same problems as described. However, I did not ask for a third copy of replacement CD
set to prove my suspicion.
Reviewer Rosemary Bell was right when she mentioned about the defect on Disc 2 track 19 Bella Notte.
Mine, not only track 19, but also tracks 17 and 18 are defective. I think there is a "watermarking"
on this Disc 2. Playing it is just like a hit-and-miss. A CD player can not play those 3 tracks
flawlessly. Usually, my CD player just stop short of finishing track 18 and 19.
All 40 hits contained in two CD set are all great songs. From his stint with group Aphrodite's Child
up until his solo career. If Disc 2 has no problem, I would have given 5 stars rating."
