"The brains at Capitol records had their minds in the right place pairing Dino and Nelson Riddle together for the first album of this double re-issue. "This Time I'm Swingin'" offers some of Martin's greatest hits, such as "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You" and "Just in Time." Nelson Riddle's charts are full and brassy, complimenting Dean's classy, stylistic singing. Perhaps the best song on this LP is their classic treatment of "On the Street Where you Live." "Pretty Baby," conducted by Gus Levene, also has a lot of brass to it, and suits Dean well. The songs are mainly ballads, such as "I Don't Know Why" and "Once in a While." Beware, it can get a little schmaltzy. Levene's chorus is ever present through most of the songs. However, half of the songs are straight on Dino, such as "Sleepy Time Gal" and "For You." Any Dean Martin fan will enjoy!"
Dino swings on this one.

"Some of the tunes on this CD are old timers but Dean does a great job with his mellow tones. Too bad today's singers don't take some time to listen to REAL music and learn from it. Frank was okay, but I enjoy Dino any day in the week or evening too."
