"This cd is a compliation of two of Dean's Reprise LP's, Dean Martin French Style & Dino Latino. As always, Dean is in great voice, particularly on the French flavored songs. Some very lush songs stand out, particularly "Darling, Je Vous Aime Beaucoup", "April in Paris", and "Le Vie En Rose". You can't go wrong with this as these Dino gems are not readily available anywhere else."

"Pure Dino!!! If you love Dean Martin, you'll love this CD. Some of the tracks have not been made available before on CD. Dean's versatility allows him to sing a French song as if it were his native language. The romance comes through on each love song that he sings. There will never be another like him! Although the sound quality would be much improved with digital remastering, Dean's impeccable singing style makes this an essential addition to your collection. Tracks such as "La Vie En Rose" are far too beautiful to have not been released before now. Dino lives on in the music of these recordings. There is, and will always be, one Dean Martin - "Long Live Dino!""

"This CD has over 65 minutes of music on it and the recording quality is quite good. These tracks will not be found on most Dean Martin compliation albums. I'd never heard Dino's La vie un rose or his South of the Border...chances are you haven't heard any of these cuts before. They're great. Dino doesn't try to put on a phony accent on the French-language numbers-- he sounds like an Italian-American singing in French, but his voice is wonderful. For the price, this is a great addition to a Dean Martin fan's collection. 22 songs for ( )? It's a good deal at twice that price."
WHERE'S THE STEREO?

"I LIKE MANY DINO FANS WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND THIS COMPILATION, WHICH IS ACTUALLY THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF MARTIN'S 1962 ALBUMS, DINO LATINO AND FRENCH STYLE, TWO LONG OUT OF PRINT REPRISE LP'S. UNFORTUNATELY(AND PROBABLY DUE TO MARTIN ESTATE LICENSING PROBLEMS), ALL THE SONGS SOUND AS THOUGH THEY'VE BEEN PULLED DIRECTLY FROM VINYL, WITHOUT DIGITAL REMASTERING FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE TAPES. THE FIRST TEN SONGS, OBVIOUSLY PULLED FROM A STEREO ALBUM SOUND PRETTY GOOD, BUT THE LAST 12, FROM A MONO SOURCE SOUND ABISMAL. THIS IS UNFOTUNATE BECAUSE THOSE FRENCH SONGS, WHICH WERE MEANT TO BE HEARD IN STEREO, SOUND MUDDY AND MUFFLED, AND THE LOVELY ORCHESTRATIONS, AND ACCORDIAN SOLOS, BEHIND DEAN, ARE BARELY AUDIBLE, HENCE THE EXOTIC NATURE THIS ALBUM WAS SUPPOSED TO CONVEY, GETS LOST IN THE TECHNICAL FLAW. BUT HEY, FOR THE PRICE, IT'S A STEAL SO ENJOY!"
