"At first glance this may appear to be just another reissue of Dean's classic Christmas album. But there's a new contemporary feel to it, due in large part his being joined by Country music superstar Martina McBride in a brand new remix of "Baby It's Cold Outside"! Well done."

"Growing up with this LP and now available on CD. I could almost hear my parents singing in the background. What a wonderful Christmas CD this is to remember the past and make memories for the future."
Classic Christmas From Dino

"This CD is the second Christmas compilation released as "Christmas With Dino".
What sets this one apart is the inclusion of an electronic duet, pairing the late Dino's 1959 vocal on "Baby It's Cold Outside" with the singing of the very popular--and very much alive--Martina McBride. Arranged by Patrick Williams, the song brings a touch of the modern to all the classic sounds that follow it.
There are two versions each of "White Christmas", Let It Snow" and "Winter Wonderland" recorded in 1959 on the Capitol label and in 1966 when Martin moved to Reprise records.
The Capitol versions of the songs are rich with strings and all feature a deliberate delivery by Martin. The Reprise selections represent a time when a heavier beat and more casual sounding vocals punctuated Dino's music. No matter, because the two eras are seamlessly blended from track to track.
As one might expect, the fun loving singer who never seemed to try too hard, breezes through many of these Christmas favorites with characteristic good humor. He even shoos the reindeer as "Jingle Bells" ends and gives Santa a German accent during his plea to "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer".
The only religious offering of the set is "Silent Night" which Martin interprets with the delicacy, care and respect it deserves.
It may not matter to some, but there's also sharper and more attractive packaging this time around. The cover features a nice color photo of Dean behind a music stand. There's also a sly tie-in to the duet with Martina. Hint: take a look at the sheet music on the stand.
"Christmas With Dino" is an enjoyable CD from start to finish and a worthy addition to your holiday music collection!
