"I can't think of a more virtuosic and versatile entertainer than Danny Kaye. Comedian, actor, singer, orchestra conductor, television host, and master of language. Since he could communicate to many audiences on so many levels, some of those fans who loved him in "Hans Christian Andersen" or as "The Court Jester" may not be prepared for the more sophisticated material from his Broadway shows. America's greatest song-writer, Cole Porter, wrote "Let's Not Talk About Love," his most virtuosic, challenging set of lyrics, for the only performer capable of singing them--Danny Kaye. But to fully appreciate the accomplishment, listeners might do well to have a written copy of the song's lyrics in front of them. Believe me, it's a very special moment in the history of American popular song."
