"Anyone interested in early choral music should add this to their collection. Like the other Pomerium recordings, it is outstanding. A lot of the works are anonymous and there are pieces from lesser known composers, such as William Horwood. This by itself is fascinating, but the superb overall quality of this CD makes it well worth having. Bravo!"
A gem!

"A beautiful, carefully put together disc of Christmas music. Performances are celestial."

"There is nothing quite so beautiful as the human voice raised in song. The true nature of human beings pours forth from choral music, an affirmation of the divine origin of our species.
This beautiful recording by Pomerium is etheric, beautiful, and inspirational.
This is not just christmas music, but a recording to be played year round. For me it soothes, calms, and evokes a feeling of serenity.
Great stuff!"

"I can only echo what the other reviewers have said. Mediaeval/Renaissance Christmas music, with its battery of odd instruments, has a magic all of its own. This marvellous CD, now apparently deleted (why do recording companies do this?) is a fine example of the breed. If Paul McCreesh's great synthesis of a Lutheran Christmas Mass (also on Archiv - was this why this one was deleted?) is the king of the hill, this CD is not far off.
P.S. This now appears to have reappeared on Amazon as "Old World Christmas""
