She's "on" the money!

"By 1968, America's pop music sweetheart Connie Francis had recorded dozens of albums and covered nearly every popular genre possible before and after the British invasion of pop music. With THE SWINGING CONNIE FRANCIS (originally titled CONNIE & CLYDE when first released), Francis stretched her vocal muscle once more and came out a big winner. Taking a chance that an album of Tin Pan Alley songs would find an audience was a risk indeed, but Connie's risk paid off with a stellar set of vocals on such hits of the 1930s as Fats Waller's "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Brother Can You Spare a Dime?" (one of the best ever recorded) and the stunning, sexy "Am I Blue?". Perhaps the most satisfying aspect of the album is the pure fun it exudes. The vocals recorded here are equally exuberant and heartfelt and Francis breathes new life into some old classics, while creating a classic in the process."
This CD is one of Connie's best recordings.

"Connie's voice is clear and strong, and the orchestrations of Don Costa are superb. This is a first rate album and a must for all of Connie's fans, and fans of 30's music. Her renditions of Am I Blue and Brother Can You Spare A Dime are top notch, and the remaining tracks are exceptional, as well. She is equally adept with the swing arrangements as she is with the emotional ballads. Her versatility and competence shine through far and above most of her well known million sellers."
