"This was Connie's second Italian lp. While the Italian Favorites lp was more popular, this second effort, I believe, was the better of the two. Her voice became stronger and more dramatic, as evidenced on Guaglione and Roman Guitar, among others. This lp contains one of Connie's best recordings, Senza Mama. The songs on this lp are generally livelier and more energetic than on her classic Italian Favorites lp. This second effort demonstrates Connie's growth over the short amount of time between this and her first Italian lp. This growth, likely due to Connie's live vocal appearances, will become even more evidenced in her later Italian compilations."
