"Cleo Laine is one of the UK and Europe's best known singers of the era from around 1960 to 1990, singing jazz, blues, and Broadway music. Her voice blends the elegance of an Ella Fitzgerald with the power and range of Aretha Franklin, and the soul of Billie Holiday. Her ability to find the real meaning of a song, and convey the emotions of a song are unmatched.
This collection brings together many of Cleo's best known recordings. The packaging, and the skimpy notes were very cheaply done. Cleo is the BEST at what she does, but the accountants pinched pennies to produce the cheapest possible package.
This song collection is DANGEROUS. After you hear it, you will begin wanting every CD Cleo ever released. This collection has a low price, but it will give you an expensive addiction."
