"Nobody sings like Christy Baron. Her voice is like an entire ensemble, many tones, pitchs, textures, pace, and attitude. It almost has a life of its' own. She rocks, enchants, makes you laugh and is sassy and sultry, all within one phrase. Wow! She is my first choice when I really want to "listen" to good jazz singing. This is an excellent CD. I rated it a 4 only because her "Steppin" CD is so awesome, everything else pales in comparison. If you like Krall and Stacy Kent (how come she gets so little hype here?), wait until you hear Baron. She'll blow you away!"
GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!

"The only this I can say about this album is GREAT! She is one good singer and it's sad that she only has one album. This album is a great buy, seldom do we see albums wherein all the songs are great. Her vesions are something else... her voice is somethinh else too. Buy this one, worth every dollar!"
Great Voice!

"Christy Baron's version of standards shows her superb renditions. She's truly a great singer! She is not a traditional jazz singer but one who has gone beyond bounderies. Her soulful rendition of Knocks Me Off My Feet is a definitive recording, probably equal to the original Stevie Wonder version. Other great versions are Got To Get You Into My Life and Misty. She should make more albums.... The album is a great buy and worth every dollar!"
Sexy, smokey, sultry and gorgeous.

"This is by far one of the finest examples of the "less is more," theory. Ms. Baron's voice seduces and shimmers, most especially on the ballads, like Stevie Wonder's "If It's Magic." But she is not just a simple torch singer, as she proves on "Ain't No Sunshine," and "Got to Get You Into My Life," where she drives every moment of the funky arrangement. And with one listen, you'll see she now owns a little known Mary Black song called, "Columbus." The album isn't a big production. But it's an amazing little gem."
A Jazzy Pick-Me-Up by a Superb Female Voice

"Christy Baron's CD "I Thought About You" is a perfect refresher to a dull, dreary winter day. Whether it is a mixture of jazz and classical it is tough to say---but it is easy to say that it is one of the best in its class out there. Get in your car, slip it into the CD player and hit the straightaway. You will mellow out. Her rendition (>6 minute) of Over the Rainbow is far better than Judy or Liza....the best cut on the CD. I had not heard of her previous to her appearance in a concert as a lead in to Johnny Mathis. She was superb. The only trouble is that it appears that this is her only CD."
