A NEW ISSUE FROM THE CHRONOLOGICAL CLASSICS...

"
It looked like the Chronological Classics series was out for the count. They had taken on too huge a project and gotten bogged down with obscure esoterica much of which was of purely historical interest--rather than genunely aesthetic value. So unfortunately some of their finest discs are out of print and discontinued. Jazz connoiseurs may do a hard target search and snap up good CC discs from third party vendors.
The folks at CC have just issued this Parker disc: give it 5 stars just for being in print.
It contains Parker's late tracks with Oscar Peterson and Charlie Mingus.
Probably worth getting for Parker aficianadoes."
