I can't wait to hear more from Carrie in the future

"Carrie Underwood is a talented singer with a bright future ahead of her. The CD single gives listeners a glimpse of what to expect in the future from the newest star on the music scene. Independence Day is a great song that addresses the social issue of domestic violence. It is about the extreme measures a woman goes through to escape her abusive relationship. I think this country tune is perfect for Carrie's powerful voice. Inside Your Heaven is a typical pop love tune lyrically, but I think Carrie makes up for it by displaying her incredible vocal range on this song. She sounds great on this track in my opinion."
I actually, like it!

"I was never a Carrie fan when she was on Idol but this isn't bad. The song, Inside your heaven, works alot better for her. She defently pulled it off.
I give a 4 our of 5 cause independce day, Again? I mean, she sounds good on it but she sung it on idol twice, on showstoppers, and now her single. I don't know how much she had to do with it but I think a different song would have been a benefit."

"I'd rather hear pure Underwood without all the dominating mush in the background. Her voice is a clear as a bell; let her sing her songs her way and stop trying to "overslick" a genuine natural product. Fight, Carrie, for YOUR independence day."
Who mixed this!!!

"I have just received my copies of both Carrie's and Bo's singles in South Africa and I am so dissapointed. Focusing on Carrie's single I have to ask the question - What on earth went on in the heads of the producers?? Here we have one of the brightest talents to have entered the music industry in the last decade and she is given an unsingable song that is just plain poor and then the album is produced by Desmond Child who they tell me is quite the guru but I think he and all at RCA/BMG & 19 Recordings went deaf on both Carrie's and Bo's recordings. It sounds as if they are singing in a bathroom the reverb is so strong and the lack of clarity and crispness belies the fact that professional's were actually involved. This mixing is probably the most unprofessionbal piece of work I have ever encountered. Shame on you all!!! When Carrie records her full album what's the price on a duet with Rascal Flatts on Bless the Broken Road - Now that would be professional - the only reason I have given 3 stars is that I believe Carrie is way better than the shoddy management she has been subjected to."
