"There is a reason why this cd is repeatedly chosen as the favorite of Carpenters fans worldwide...of the 12 songs on it (13 is a reprise), SIX became US Top20 singles..Top of the World, Hurting each Other, Goodbye to Love, Its Going to Take Some Time, Bless the Beasts and the Children and I Won't Last a day without You...AND YET, I believe if my personal Favorite, A Song for You had been released as a single, IT would have gone GOLD. To listen to Karen sing "And when my life is over, remember when we were together, we were alone and I was singing this song for you..." it's hauntingly beautiful! This CD is PACKED full of classic hits! Even those that weren't singles are wonderful, Crystal Lullabye and Road Ode...EXCELLENT."
A Classic

"The first seven cuts reveal why The Carpenters, despite their un-trendiness, were so successful. Not only is her voice and presentation understated and warm, but his production and musicianship is also nearly perfect. In addition, the songs are just outstanding songs for any era. Perhaps the two best cuts are the title track and Bless the Beasts and the Children. It's Going To Take Some Time and Road Ode are also very notable. A classic recording; no home should be without."
This is the best album Carpenters have put out.

"One of the the two most consistent albums the Carpenters ever recorded in terms of musical content. The other one being the third album "Carpenters." This is a must-have album not only for Carpenters' fans but to all music lovers alike."
