"We have an extensive Christmas CD collection--everything from John Denver and the Muppets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir--but for some reason I'd overlooked the Carpenters, whose music I've always enjoyed.

I decided to remedy that this Christmas, and spent considerable time reading reviews of this and other Carpenters Chrismtas CDs. I was a bit leery of some other reviewers' comments about too many instrumental selections on this collection. Well, take my advice: buy it. Those instrumental pieces are absolutely beautiful medleys of Christmas carols and songs that open each of the CDs. They provide a very nice lead-in to Karen's beautiful vocal work.

This has already become one of my favorite Christmas CDs.
