"What a find! Carol Kidd has such a unique style, full of lightness, wit, fun and joie de vivre. This album evokes the joys of spring. The accompaniment is understated, simple (no over-arrangement) and sensitive, the emphasis being on Carol's unusual voice and style. This album is a perfect addition to my jazz collection. I am a fussy collector of female jazz artists and Carol Kidd is no disappointment. I'll definitely be checking out her other albums."

Kidd is an unexploited treasure.

"Near the end of a trip to Scotland in the early '80's, I stepped into a club for a one last cocktail . Ms. Kidd and a trio were playing. . . I was mesmerized. I bought this release as an album and then recorded it on a cassette for my car. Since then, it has provided hours of pleasure, particularly by relieving stress during long drives or in high volume traffic. Her presentation is terrifically upbeat, surprisingly unique, and always fun! I'm thrilled to now have her on CD."
