"Here's some real good rootsy Louisiana swamp blues...sort of a cross between John Fogerty, Clifton Chenier & Stevie Ray Vaughn. He sings with a southern drawl and he's a talented guitarist. Fun lyrics...this guy loves the ladies. Best seen at your local roadhouse with a bucket of Rocks and a plate of ribs."

"This c.d. has remained a favorite of mine for years. Adcock is now the frontman in a band called "L'il Band of Gold" that kicks just as much butt. They have a cd out as well. I also heard he's coming out with another solo album very soon, but I don't know which label."

"Imagine a cross of John Fogerty (of Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Stevie Ray Vaughn and you will get a rough idea of the steaming gumbo of Louisiana swamp rock brewed up by C.C. Adcock on this fine disk. Deep-fried blues rock with a considerable cajun twist played by a master guitarist and a gutsy vocalist. Probably the best recorded work of this genre for the decade of the 90s."
