"I really purchased this cd for one song-Brooks 1958 minor and rare hit "A million miles from nowhere". I remember seeing it listed over 25 years ago in Norm N. Nites book "Rock On" as Brooks first charter on the pop charts. It has taken over 25 years for me to finally hear the song because it has never appeared on any of his greatest hit outings simply because of it not being a big hit for him. It is a classic in the tradition of his big hit "Endlessly". This cd also has Brook sounding like Elvis on some early tracks as well as Roy Hamilton. There is also the sound of Brook after the hits stopped flowing (1964-1970) which of course reflects more of a less orchestrated and a more soulful Brook. You won't remember most of these songs by Brook but if you're a big fan of this marvelous singer from South Carolina it's a must have."
