"This is not a bad album. I like Bobby Darin, and I bought this album after already owning the Bobby Darin Story, but the title of this CD is misleading.
This is by no stretch of the imagination the best of Bobby Darin. Perhaps this is the best of the second half of Darin's career, but it would be difficult yo lable anything without Splish Splash, Beyond the Sea or Mac the Knife the best of Bobby Darin.
That being said, this is a good album for someone who is already a fan, or someone who want to go deeper into Darin's music than his biggest hits.
18 Yellow Roses, You're the Reason I'm Living, and Hello, Dolly (this is alot like Mac the Knife) are all good songs, and deserve to be on the Best of Bobby Darin. The rest are all solid songs, but are perhaps a little obscure for someone who wants an introduction to his music.
Buy this album if you are already a fan of Darin's work, but stay away if you are simply looking for a greatest hits collection."
