Bob Rivers Returns!

"First, I have been a fan of this guy for many years, (early nineties) and have amassed at least 9-10 of his CD's. Besides his "Twisted Christmas" Issues and his last 'Chipmunk' CD, he has issued many CD's doing straight parodies of major songs as well. Sometimes at parties they do not KNOW its one until they really start listening! This CD continues his tradition of lampooning the Christmas Classics. Just look at the playlist! Bob and his gang to SEEMLESS impersonations of the Carpenters, Eminem, and others. (They do JC Fogerty, Bob Seger and AC/DC equally well).Highlights include "Aquaclaus", in the vein of his previous "I Am Santa Claus" on previous cd's. A riot! "Osama Got Run Over By A Reindeer" is also a cartoon on his web site, and is timely.Me And Mrs. Claus (Billy Paul's Me and Mrs Jones?) ......snickered for an hour. Merry Christmas Allah is lets say a bit irreverent, but typical Bob Rivers. (In the vein of "NFL Sundays" on a previous cd)These are great tunes to 'slip into' your Christmas Mix. Ths is NOT a cheaper sounding CD, and the sound is everybit as clear as anyother, so don't think its a quick max album. If you are getting a Christmas CD this year, this is IT, (And the first Red Peters CD to)"
Buy it "Be Claus" it'll Make You Laugh!

"Got a friend that hates Christmas? Bob Rivers' "White Trash Christmas" takes the edge right off all that slicky-icky Christmas music and will put a smile on the face of the most determined scrooge. Who could possibly resist "Have yourself an Ozzy Little Christmas" or "What if Eminem Did Jingle Bells?" There's even a sweet little cautionary tale for pot heads in "Be Claus I got High." Wierd All who? Bob Rivers is the unmatched king of parody."
He Keeps Getting Better

"I think the greatest compliment I can pay Bob Rivers is that when I was listening to this I often forgot that I wasn't listening to the "real" songs that he parodies. The arrangements and singing are THAT perfect. I don't know how he does it, but his Christmas albums keep getting better. (I gave it 5 stars, but that's because I give his first Christmas CD, Twisted Christmas, a 6. Buy that one first, then this one.)"

"My first encounter with Bob rivers was a late night DJ spinning "I Am Santa Claus" (a parody of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man). Ever since then I have sought out and bought every single CD the guy puts out. I have been collecting comedy records of all types for over 20 years. I even still have my copy of the Elmo and Patsy's single "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" which Bob has conveniently rewritten to reflect a modern angle. He also has the usual rock'n'roll classics such as "Aquaclaus" (Jethro Tull's "Aqualung") Check it out if your mind is twisted.... Hahahahahahahahah!"
There'll be cousins kissin' and front teeth missin'.

"This was the fifth Christmas album released by Bob Rivers. It features parodies of Christmas songs and parodies of regular songs done Christmas style. The songs here sound remarkably like the songs they are parodying. For example, the girl who sings the Carpenters parody "Merry Christmas Allah" sounds just like Karen Carpenter. There are also accurate imitations of Eminem, Afroman, Dean Martin and others. And besides that, the songs are very funny. If you like funny Christmas songs, you'll probably enjoy this CD."
