"Growing up, this was my all time favorite Christmas Album. Every holiday season, my family listened to this album almost every day from Thanksgiving through Christmas. It was a tradition passed on from when my mother was a child.The story is about Young Jethro whose Christmas wish was to receive an axe, an apple and a buckskin jacket. When he falls asleep on Christmas Eve, he dreams that he is visited by Paul Bunyan, Daniel Boone, and Johnny Appleseed.We own the album, but wanted to replace it with a cd. We could never find the CD version even though we looked for it for years. When I mentioned this story to a good friend, she searched the internet as a surprise for me. She found the CD, listed as Christmas Story: Holiday Musical Told & Sung By Bing
~ Bing Crosby. It was the best gift I have ever received.I can now pass on this wonderful piece of my (as well as my mothers) childhood to my young son."

"THIS WAS OFF AN OLD ALBUM PREVIOUSLY TITLED "HOW LOVELY IS CHRISTMAS" I COULD NEVER FIND THIS ON CD. I HAD A TAPE MADE OFF AN OLD ALBUM, BUT IT INCLUDED MANY "POPS" AND SCRATCHES. THIS ALBUM WAS A HOLIDAY TRADITION. IT WAS GREAT HEARING IT CLEARLY AFTER SO MANY YEARS!"

"I remember this story as an LP album from when I was a small child. It was always one of my favorite Christmes stories. I hadn't heard it since I left home and had my doubts that my mother still had the album. Fortunately she did and was able to copy it on cassette for my three children. There were many scratches and a lot of static but the story and songs were the same as I remembered them. Over the years however I'd forgotten about that old tape. Last year my 25 year old daughter was helping me put up the Christmas tree and we were playing all the tapes from an old shoe box decorated in Christmas wrap. My Mom had since passed away and when I saw that tape memories came flooding back. I had forgotten though that she had placed a verbal message to my children at the beginning of the tape and was quite taken aback at hearing her voice. It was like a special Christmas gift in itself. I was thrilled at finding that the story has been newly released and available on CD. Thank you for making it available."
