"I have many of these greatest hits on lps and waited impatiently for a CD release. Because Billy Vaughn had big hits in Latin America, South America, Africa, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Germany and the US among other countries, it is definitely a feat to include just 50 of his most popular on a 2 CD collection. This collection was originally aimed at the German market. Yes, there are some HITS missing including US and German hits but those are available on other CD collections. Some of the tracks are in mono but that is because they either were not recorded in stereo (Sail Along Silvry Moon, Melody of Love, Raunchy, etc.) or a stereo master is not available. The greatest thing about his collection is that many of the cuts were previously available only on 45 rpm singles. This is the best introduction to the most successful studio orchestra of the rock n roll era."

"Between 1955 and 1970, Billy Vaughn had 28 singles and 36 albums in the Us Chart alone. In Germany he had a very impressive string of 19 top hits until the mid-1960's. A big two cd offer a good music string and other tunes, "Sukiyaki", "Happy Comboy","Berlin Melody","Come September"...Is a good buy..."
Thanks again, Billy

"As a child of 12, I first heard Billy Vaughn's music, and I collected many of the LP's he had out then. I was so facinated by the man and his music that I wrote him a letter in care of, I think, DOT records at the time. And guess what he did? He wrote me back a wonderful letter!!!!!!!!!!! I still have that wonderful letter from him after all these years!!!!!!! Thanks again, Billy!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Finally!!

"I had been haunting music stores and collectors for the last two years, looking for CDs or tapes of Billy Vaughn. Many of his songs stand out in my mind but mostly it was "Shifting, Whispering Sands" that I really wanted. The rest are icing on my cake but what an icing it is! Superb."
Very Best of Billy Vaughn

"At last a compilation that stands out for miles! When I say Billy Vaughn I mean saxes, and saxes in that special harmony. If I wanted strings and violins I'd buy Felix Slatkin or Mantovani. "Michelle" I could personally do without, but the rest is absolutely marvellous. Here you find many rare tracks like "You`re my baby doll" - B-side of "Cimarron" 45- a nice little tune where Billy V. proves that he can still produce that "rounchy" beat as well as sax harmony. It`s a string of perfect little masterpieces track by track. I just can't stop playing these CDs over and over. This item was really worth waiting for. The sound is great also - compared to original Dot LPs I still own, the CDs win all the way."
