"As we all know, Beethoven is full of emotion, and soul. His way of expressing his feelings has touched us all in one way or another. Not many people have the ability to play Beethoven's music in such a way as to convey his actual feelings, in my opinion. A lot of recordings completely miss the entire feeling of one of his works, and portrays it way too mechanically. Many people find it hard to keep up with the buildups in intensity and then go silent in the way Beethoven wrote his work so often, much less able to keep the soul of the music alive. Dietrich has been able to capture this soul, I believe, in his singing; a truly compassionate and feeling musician, Hertha Klust, also played the Piano. This musical talent all running together to create absolute beauty, and gives us the awareness of soul. If you enjoy Beethoven, and want to explore some of his less known work, this is a great CD to buy."
