"Audrey (pronounced Audray) Morris is a totally original chanteuse from Chicago whose talent, taste, intelligence and charisma have justly gathered for her a legion of admirers worldwide. Among a catalog of exceptional albums, this is her best. Here is a singer with the ability to make even the most familiar song sound new and to take fresh looks at material done the same way for so long you wouldn't imagine there was any new way to do it. Audrey Morris is also an unusually honest artist. She tells her stories without artifice or adornment, stripped bare to the core. Yet she is also melodic and charming. You will love this album."

"I'm hooked on this CD. It is available now. The label is Fancy Faire, not Southport. Audrey's intimate and honest approach to these musical gems is so utterly refreshing and a treasure to behold. She is truly one of the best around. The accompaniment is also gorgeous and sensitive. A wonderful and winning combination."

""Audrey Morris is a unique, honest singer who understands and communicates lyrics in a voice that conjures up a smoke-filled cocktail lounge in the wee small hours of the morning."... these are not my words, but my feelings about this wonderful artist. I have the 6 CDs that are out there by Mz Morris. They're all good. Get them."
