This CD takes us back furthur in his musical career to when he did a series of radio broadcasts for recruitment to the National Guard. On the CD he is accompanied by a quartet comprising the very talented Hank Jones (p), Mundell Lowe (g), Eddie Safranski (b) and Bobby Rosengarden (d). These very rare recordings are highly collectable.
