Every Cadence charting single

"Andy Williams' Cadence recordings have been reissued innumerable times over the CD-era but here for the first time are collected all his top-100 a- or b-side top-100 charting singles. Oddly enough, this even trumps Varese's earlier collection of Williams' Cadence sides. Andy Williams hit the pop charts big in the 50s on Archie Bleyer's Cadence label with such tunes as "Canadian Sunset", "Lonely Street", "I Like Your Kind Of Love", "Are You Sincere" and his biggest single, "Butterfly". All these top-10 hits are here along with all his other top-100 Cadence singles, several b-sides and a bubbling under single from 1964, "Under Paris Skies" recorded in 1960. With a generous 25 tracks, the best sound quality yet for these vintage recordings, lots of stereo (tracks 7,9,12-14,16-25) and an informative 8-page liner notes booklet, there is no better gathering of Williams' formative Cadence-era recordings. Combine this with Taragon's 2-disc set of Williams' Columbia singles (which see) and you have the complete set of his singles recordings. For both the completist and casual fan, of all the Williams CDs available, these are the two outstanding pieces to own."

"Howard Andrew Williams was always a choirboy at heart. When he started his recording career with Archie Bleyer of CADENCE records in the mid 50's, he made some of the best "Pop" recordings of the era.
Everything on this fabulous VARESE SARABANDE re-issue is from the original master tapes. The sound quality is impeccable. I must say that if you are a collector of 50's Rock'n Roll or Pop music of the early 60's, you must include this package in your collection.
The music on this CD is what led Andy Williams to a bigger recording contract with Columbia Records and a televison variety show that ran from the mid 60's to the early 70's. Andy has been a maven of the "Adult Contemporary" record charts securing his place in that special pantheon of pop singers who helped define the true art of crooning.
Again, this is a must for the Pop music collector."
