"No doubt Amália's recording of her live concert in Japan in 1986 proved how great she still was later in her life, at 65 going on 66, and for those who will always love her. Despite the fact that her voice had turned somewhat harder, this recording shows how her soul had grown even bigger (if possible), and how colourful and beautiful her powers, emotion and voice always were. In this concert she included also some Spanish flamenco songs which she sang with all the intonations required, and some portuguese folk songs, which were accompanied by the enthusiastic Japanese people. That she was also a cultural ambassador is proven by the fact that many of the songs were accompanied and sung along by the public, like "Cheira Bem, Cheira a Lisboa" where you can listen to Amália rehearsing the words with the audience, and the audience singing those words in an unknown language. In Japan to this day, Amália has many followers, including Japanese singers who sing "Fado" in Japanese. Still the best, always the best."
