"In the 30 plus years of his distinguished career, Al Bano Carrisi has had 26 gold and 8 platinum records to his credit, and this is a compilation of a few of his wonderful, melodic hits.
He has a high, powerful voice, which he uses full out, and sings with a lot of heart and soul. If you like Italian pop singing, he'll probably make a fan out of you in the first few bars of this CD.The arrangements are lush and lovely, and I especially like "Caro, Caro Amore", with its marvelous bassoon solo.
Al Bano co-wrote 9 of the songs, and "La Casa dell'Amore" he wrote with his wife and singing partner of many years, Romina Power (the beautiful daughter of actor Tyrone).
"Angelo di Strada" he penned alone, and it's a dramatic, gorgeous song. Other big favorites are also his: "Io di Notte", and "Pensando a Te".Some of these songs go back to the 60's, but must have been re-recorded, as the sound is excellent. Total time is 66:18, and as with many of these compilations, there are no liner notes...but Mr. Carrisi is still going strong, looking fabulous, and doing many good works for humanity along with his terrific music."

"Even though I do not understand Italian, and I never heard of Al Bano before, this is my favorite CD. I play it almost every day. I am looking forward to purchasing more of his recordings."
